Remote control fire truck: UX applications for IoT innovation

A 45 minute Case Study by:

About this Case Study

ATOM applied the principle of a consumer-focused orientation to the design process to answer our customer's call for a competitive and safety advantage. Through a combination of management insights and UX discipline, we delivered a remote control fire truck that solved design and usability issues to increase safety and efficacy.

ATOM focused on two design groups; manufacturing/mechanical repair and firefighters. Our insights produced usability and safety enhancements by walking the manufacturer through a design process that is thoughtfully focused on the consumer and not an engineering specification. This session will give you a first-hand walkthrough of the process, the major innovations and how we approached improving the user experience of an iconic fire truck.
