About this Workshop

Much is written and shared about the design and research methods we use in our day to day work. I feel that little practical advice is available for practitioners to help them survive the day to day challenges that we face while working on complex commercial UX projects.

In this workshop I'd like to call out some of the classic pain points I've identified during my 20-year UX career, and collectively we will share the tools, methods and techniques we've used to successfully overcome them.

During the workshop I will share classic tricky project scenarios that will resonate with participants, and in small groups we will aim to identify and share practical tools and methods to overcome them. You will be encouraged to share your war stories, uncover your battle scars and share your own survival secrets!
